got dear the third n final instalment of the Millennium Trilogy by Stieg Larsson, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest. see, the number of times i got smthg for u when i go shopping is more than u! =p but i've to admit, it was by chance lah. didnt noe it's out liao. juz happen to see it in popular when i was looking for any interesting books to read. hee... i also saw e small paperback version of the second book...

mooncake festival had came and went... n i've been eating mooncakes before n after, till now. hehe... got loads of diff flavours one lor.

wanted to get dear an assorted baked one frm marriott, but my sis got e order wrong n brought a box of assorted snowskin one frm goodwood park hme lor. *faintz* dear accepted it grudgingly. in e end, he bot e marriott one himself. coz like me, he prefers traditionally baked ones. >.<

dear also got a FOUR yolk box frm goodwood for me. he claimed, 'to satisfy your fantasy". bleh... four yolk is nice wat! i prefer it to be white lotus paste though, coz not so sweet. bleh... =p

i bot the new jenga max frm Toys r us on last sat aft seeing it at isetan or bhg somewhere. n we managed to try it yday. thinking it wld be as 'nail-biting' as e box claims, we were expecting it to 'max out' real quickly. but we managed to hook on all of the 36 pieces uneventfully. -_-

undaunted, we moved on to smthg more challenging. unhooking e pieces one by one n putting them to e longest arm. this was indeed more challenging as we didnt get far before it collasped. n dear lost! yeah! hehe...

we tried another way, with all three starter blocks next to each other. this was difficult too. n dear lost too. whahahha... =p

we watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs on e same sat. coz we didnt have other things to do, or other shows to watch n e reviews seem good generally. of coz, we didnt watch it in 3D. bleh... it was juz ok lah. i think it's reli more for kids kind of cartoons. probably e last cartoon i watched, Up is much better.

wonder if Fantastic Mr Fox & Sherlock Holmes be good. hee... n also 风云2!

finally decided to try on e free pair of contact lens i got way back in dec last year. was thinking can wear for e d&d next week. it's monthly type one.

so last sat, i asked my da jie to teach me. which she did, step-by-step n patiently. i tried my right eye first n i did it pretty alright-ly. i was quite excited n happy coz i cld see clearly. but i'd trouble wif e left one, coz e lens always folds at a side n it doesnt 'stick' to my eyeball. da jie said e lens shld be spoilt le coz it's out-of-shape as one side is softer.

but my er jie said she will help me. so she tried. n my mum came back. n my mum started scolding at evthing. n my er jie argued wif her. n my er jie got agitated. n in e midst, my lens disappeared. AAAHHH!!!! it's gone!

tt's my first try at being spectacle-less. a failed try.

i cried. yea, dear called me 爱哭包. who cares. i cried.

i did not tell dear tt i wanted to wear e lenses. coz i wanted to give him a surprise when i met him later in e day. to see if he realised eh, i'm not wearing specs.

but i cld not.

i cant not wear it to D&D liao. but guess i can handle it w/o e specs lah. still can see!

dear wanted to bring me to make a new pair. but i think it wont be ready in time. coz mine need to order one. n i didnt feel like trying liao.

*disappointed*

as i'd mentioned b4, i broke dear's bottle. so i bot him a new one last last sat. it's e same type as his old one but it's grey where it was orange. hehe.. but last sat we saw a green one! -_-

saw a cute stitch horoscope globe puzzle. so i made dear buy it for me n piece it up to give me. hehe... there was also a damn cute stuffed pyjamas-clad stitch walking on e ground in circles. it's frm those 抓娃娃机. dear tried to catch one n wasted $10. >.< it was $2 per try. but it's so cute! wonder y it walks in circles, n not in a straight line.

in return, i surprised him wif a Kenny & Co. cufflinks frm Bits & Pieces on the following mon. i already saw it abt a wk b4 but didnt buy coz it was too ex. but when i walked past e shop on last last sun, it was having 20% discount. so i bot it immediately! hehe... it even has a one year warranty.



on e same sun, i bot part 1 of the gifts for children's day. all frm popular. half of it is a cartoon-y file n e other half is a cartoon-y whiteboard. will let them choose. n each costs $1.50. n e cashier charged me one less item. so i zhuan dao! hehe...

last last sat, we watched FInal Destination in marina square. e show was meaningless, gory n bloody. n meaningless. =p e part wif e both e girl n boy leads at e shopping mall escalator was totally gross! i cant stand it!

last sat we went dhoby ghaut n somerset area. kudos to dear for walking so far wif me. although he did complain n his toe hurt so much, he was limping at e end. we went to e new Orchard Central which has a lot of floors but nthg much to see. n there r a lot of jap restuarants lor, all wif long queues at din time. so we chose one w/o a queue: Heaven's Loft.

e food is ex lor. we ordered one pasta n one pizza. total bill is abt $50.


i bot part 2 of my children's day gifts frm carrefour at ps. they r oreos n some meiji choc. i haven calculated how much i spent for the children's day yet. but shld be within budget. hehe... oh, tt reminds me tt i haven transferred e $ to dear since he paid for them. hehe...

then we watched The Ugly Truth at The Cathay. it's quite funny n it's slightly crude. not too bad for a romcom. hehe...

think we will be watching 9 next.

this is my fav! it's so PRETTY! n it's frm my fav p3 boy lor. i didnt expect him to give me one, much less a handmade one, since he didnt give me last yr. this is definitely my fav one this yr.


this is e unwrapped pres of the top right one. it's frm my company. which was a surprise n sweet gesture. there wasnt any last yr, n i think this is e first time they ever gave teachers day pres. n they gave to those part time tutors too. i've so many name stickers tt i dunno where to stick. hehe... but it's still a nice gift, wif all tt silver n gold.


a cute n roomy pouch frm my p4 boy, it's e one in orange wrapper. again, i didnt expect a gift frm him coz he joined a few mths ago only. n e rest of e class didnt give me anything lor. >.< i'm still thinking what use can i put it into.


tis is frm my fav p1 boy (e isetan wrapper). but i dun understand y he want to give me mirrorsss. hehe... n e careless boy did not take out e pricetag!


this e dark choc rocher given to me by a p6 girl on behalf of her k2 little bro. but she actually ate e rocher n wrapped a choc wif tissue to form e original rocher shape n gave to me! i realised how light it was when i took it but i still accepted it. >.<

e v small sweet in silver paper is given by another p6 girl. she obviously didnt prepare, but i still accepted e tot.


i forgot to include this box of chocs in e first pic. it's given by a p3 girl. but i ddint expect her to give me, coz i'm pretty strict wif her n had spoken to her mother a few times.


all e pressies again... happy wif e pressies this yr. glad tt there wasnt any mugs or photoframes or 摆设品. hehe...


been wondering abt children's day now. dunno wat to give them. i've 2 graduating classes, so muz give smthg special to them. although my enrolment is the low side (bleh!), i still've 44 students. was thinking of a budget of $5 per person, but tt will add up to $220! so much! maybe i shld keep it below $2 for e non-graduating ones n $3 for e graduating ones. tt shld add up to abt $100. but how do i get nice, does-not-look-cheapo n useful gifts wif tt few measly dollars! my first tot of $5 was already abit tight. haiz... >.<

this calls for some serious shopping time! hehe...

nvr heard of this before. amazingly, i got this off an option in a quiz on fb.

i'd a dream on wed morning. i dreamt that the rubber handle of my nike bottle broke. i dunno how or who or why. i only knew it broke. n it was juz tt scene.

when i woke up, i clean forgot abt it. until a few hrs later... in dear's car...

i was trying to open HIS ever-so-tightly-closed nike bottle so i cld drink. n as i was trying to get e cap turn, e metal handle broke! but it's not coz i'm super strong or wat. it's juz of wear n tear, e number of times e bottle was dropped n think also coz e bottle always 'sun-tanned' inside e car, so it made e metal brittle.

i was damn surprised at the 'conincidence'. i dunno wat other word to use frm my limited vocab.

dear concluded that whatever happen to me in MY dream will happen to HIM in REAL LIFE! tt's so scary!!! eerie!!!

n now i've to buy a new bottle for him. but nvm lah, i was thinking of getting a new one for myself as well. coz conditions for both bottles r not too good liao.


suddenly the seventh month doesnt seem too 'ignoreable'...

*shudders*

1. i am working in this company for coming to 2 years on 2 sept. so fast lor. n it's longer than i'd expected. longer than i wld've v much preferred. i want out!!! (better not let any colleagues see this. they seemed to be pretty good at 'discovering' ppl's blogs.)

2. it's already end of aug n i've not stepped out of singapore since dec last yr. wail! tis time last yr, i was already counting down to my 3th trip in abt 2 wks time liao lor. (which was e enjoyable taiwan trip. i cant wait to go again!) e annual bintan trip doesnt seem to be able to materialise this yr. i still have abt 12 days of leave to clear this yr. but it will increase wif some off-in-lieus coming. i wan to go on a trip!

3. it finally hit me wat kind of term i can use to describe dear's build! *drums roll* dear's another endearing name would be 'teddy bear' frm now on. hehe... it adds to a already v long list liao. hehe... teddy bear is cute, cuddly, v huggable n brown. juz like dear!

4. realise i'm getting more and more random liao. muz be coz of my colleagues. hehe...


i shld listen to colbie caillat's realise now since it's on related topic. it's a nice song wif nice lyrics afterall. haha... being random again...

sat finally got to do some shopping, aft dunno how many sats slacking at dear's hse. bleh... =p dear didnt reli wan to go shopping coz will spend money. but can be i buy, he dont buy wat. so simple. =p but in end, he even chose to wear clothes tt were easy to remove so he can try on clothes. *roll eyes* dunno who more eager lidat lor. =p

we went city hall area. wanted to get sebum serum frm one of e salon at citylink. but it has closed down! >.< went to raffles city n saw tt m)phosis was having a sale. so i came out wif a $5+ pair of flats n a $10+ necklace. all courtesy of dear! hehe... i find e flats is reli a good steal. hee...

managed to convince dear to eat at shokodu again, aft e first time we ate way in oct last yr. i wanted to eat e omelette again! dear relented on account tt it was my treat. >.< we bot quite a lot of food. n dear didnt like them, coz he said all got cold so fast. haiz... looks like i cant get to eat my omelette a third time le. *sulks*



went suntec aft din. n i got a pair of shorts frm fox. no sale but yeah! by then, dear was getting grumpy. coz we still had not gone to marina sq where his fav shops were. in e end, we got to marina square with still abt an hr left. but he went into his fav shops n came out empty-handed. >.<

he's reli hard to 伺候 leh. =p

next we watched Up at marina square in 3D. although it was like twice as ex as e usual movie tix was, we didnt reli bat an eyelid when we booked e tix. issit coz we r working n spending power has increased. dont seem to think twice abt getting smthg which is less than $50 now, maybe less than $100 also. hmmm...

aft experiencing e 3D, we felt a second time wasnt required. >.<

e 3D goggles cldnt stay on my nose when i put it over my specs. i'd to prop it up throughout e show, or borrow dear's shoulder. so dear KEPT saying i dont have a nose bridge, my face is soooo small. blah blah blah... bleh... i've nvr had a prob (neither do i think i've one) wif my facial features, until tt stupid 3D show. so next time, if i'm gonna watch a 3D show wif e 3D goggles again, i should go get some contacts first. bleh...

read reviews / comments frm frens tt Up is v nice, v touching. yah lah, it's not bad lah, alright alright lor. dear said it was juz heart warming only. kinda agree too. no need prepare tissue paper leh. hehe...

but i find e script v well-written. it touches on so many aspects in a creative yet simple-to-understand plot. it has father-n-son and husband-n-wife relations, fast but sudden friendships too. fame. e kid's innocence n e old man's 执着. great characters developments.

dunno issit e movie or issit me, but i left e cinema feeling v sleepy. or maybe it's e stupid 3D goggles! hehe... told dear to send me hme straight away... think he gladly obliged too.
